Description
A Portuguese pottery brown glazed model of a bull, dating to the late 19th century. The ceramic figure is modeled in a standing position atop an integral, tiered rectangular pedestal base decorated with a rope-twist border. The piece is finished in a rich, dark brown mottled treacle glaze. Physical features include a textured forehead, dimpled muzzle, and detailed anatomical modeling. Marks stamped on the underside.
