Description
An antique Irish sterling silver caddy spoon featuring a wide, shovel-shaped bowl and a short, tapered handle. The handle is decorated with bright-cut engraved borders. The handle terminal is engraved with a family crest depicting an armored arm holding a cross-crosslet fitchy. The reverse of the handle bears three distinct hallmarks, including the harp crowned and Hibernia marks for Dublin, alongside a maker’s mark for T & T for Thomas Townsend, circa 1800
