Description
A collection of wood marquetry and veneer elements contained within a rectangular wooden box. The marquetry pieces feature nautical themes, primarily depicting various sea shells including conch and gastropod forms. These motifs are rendered in contrasting light and dark wood veneers. Several shell designs are set within oval medallions of green or brown-stained wood. One larger element features a radial, fan-like pattern.
