Lot 144:
Description
This set of twelve British lead crystal glasses was manufactured by Thomas Webb and Sons in Stourbridge, England. The collection comprises six large water goblets and six smaller wine glasses. Each piece features a deep-cut geometric pattern consisting of a cross-hatched diamond band encircling the lower half of the bowl, topped by a series of vertical fan and starburst motifs. The stems are designed with a faceted hexagonal knop and terminate in a plain, circular foot. Several glasses retain their original blue and gold oval foil stickers on the base, marked Thomas Webb Crystal British Made. The set is presented in its original pair of green hinged presentation boxes, each featuring a gold-stamped manufacturer logo on the interior lid. The boxes are lined with red satin-covered form-fitting inserts designed to protect the crystal.
