Description
A sterling silver cocktail ring featuring a large, oval honey-colored amber cabochon. The center stone is bezel set within a decorative silver surround. The setting is composed of stylized, overlapping foliate or leaf-like motifs with small silver beads placed at the cardinal points around the stone. The amber exhibits characteristic natural internal features, including dark organic inclusions and spangles or internal fractures. The interior of the shank is struck with a small rectangular hallmark containing the numerals 925, indicating sterling silver fineness, alongside a profile head facing right within a circular frame. A maker’s name is not legible within the marks. The silver has developed a dark patina, particularly within the recessed areas of the foliate design.
