Description
A dual-function Brutalist jewelry piece, constructed as a combined brooch and pendant. The abstract design is composed of vertically oriented, multi-length cylindrical rods with a textured finish. The majority of the composition is yellow gold, interspersed with several accent rods in a contrasting white metal. The reverse side features a simple pin with a safety catch and a fixed bail at the bottom, allowing it to be worn on a chain. An impressed hallmark is located on a vertical rectangular cartouche on the reverse, consisting of four distinct marks: an initial mark which is not legible as a specific name, a crown, the numeral 18, and a stylized letter in a shield. The presence of the crown and 18 stamps indicates 18 karat gold, consistent with British hallmarking standards for this purity.
