Lot 274:
Description
A collection of antique apothecary and chemist vessels comprised of clear, amber, and emerald green glass. The group features a variety of specialized forms including reagent bottles, display jars, vials, and an eye wash cup. The glass is primarily mold-blown with some pressed elements, and most vessels retain their original ground-glass stoppers in various decorative shapes such as faceted, circular, tapered, and winged butterfly styles.
The central clear glass display jar features a gold-bordered white label with black and red accents reading ESS: LIMON: in two lines of text. A small amber bottle situated in the front center features a printed paper label with several lines of text. The first line reads HUSTONG, followed by FINEST on the second line. The third line reads WAYNE BURG, and the final line at the bottom reads EXPORT.
The assortment includes two large clear reagent bottles with ground-glass stoppers and a clear glass eye wash cup on a pedestal base. The colored glass components consist of multiple amber glass bottles of varying heights and three emerald green glass apothecary bottles.
