Description
A set of eight gold and nickel plated commemorative coins issued by Gibraltar in 2017 to celebrate the 70th wedding anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip. Each coin with its own certificate. Struck with a gold or nickel toned finish consistent with 24k gold layering as indicated by market consensus. The obverse of each coin features the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II with the circumscription ELIZABETH II D G REGINA GIBRALTAR 2017 ONE CROWN. The reverse designs incorporate various photographic images of the royal couple in color and black-and-white, alongside a crowned royal monogram and the commemorative inscriptions 70 and STRENGTH & STAY. Each coin is presented in an individual clear protective acrylic capsule.
Condition report:
The collection appears to be in excellent, uncirculated condition. No visible surface wear, scratches, or oxidation are present on the coins. The acrylic capsules are well-preserved.
