Description
A framed aviation art print titled Ramrod 792 by artist Robert Taylor. The composition depicts a World War II aerial dogfight between a British Supermarine Spitfire and a German Focke-Wulf Fw 190 over Laon, France, in April 1944. The print is signed in pencil in the lower margin by the artist and also carries the autograph of fighter pilot Wing Commander Johnnie Johnson. A printed caption at the base provides historical context for the scene. An in-plate signature with the date 81 is visible in the lower left of the image area. The work is housed under glass in a giltwood frame with a dark olive-green mat. Approximately 66.5cm x 53cm
