Description
A antique glazed ceramic vase possibly from Morocco. The vessel is constructed from a reddish terracotta clay and features a bulbous body tapering to a short neck with a flared rim. The exterior is decorated with a hand-painted repeating scale or peacock feather pattern in black over a vibrant turquoise-blue ground. The pattern is further detailed with teardrop motifs in shades of green, dark blue, and brown. The base features an unglazed foot ring and a recessed, glazed center containing an incised workshop mark.
