Description
An oil painting on wooden panel depicting a dual-profile Memento Mori head in the manner of Hans Holbein the Younger. The composition features a human skull and a bearded male face joined at the back, set against an ocher ground. The central image is enclosed within a circular border formed by an ouroboros. The work is housed in a dark-stained, square wooden frame. The reverse of the wooden panel displays a paper label with the handwritten inscription T. C. Dent. The reverse of the frame is finished in red paint and fitted with a twine hanging loop.
