Description
This set consists of four limited edition giclee prints after original watercolors by artist Dashuai Sun (born 1963, Inner Mongolia). The works depict traditional figures and scenes from Inner Mongolian culture, including a profile portrait of a woman in elaborate ceremonial headgear, a young girl in a red floral dress holding a lamb, a group of women and a child with a flock of sheep in a snowy landscape, and a party of four figures in ornate traditional dress mounted on horses. Each print is hand-signed by the artist in graphite in the lower-right margin. The prints are individually numbered in pencil in the lower-left margin as follows: 71/200, 36/200, 197/500, and 387/500. Each piece is professionally housed under glass with off-white mats in simple black gallery-style frames. Included with the collection is a printed artist biography detailing Dashuai Sun’s international exhibition history and awards.
