Description
This collection consists of number of glass and crystal stoppers for bottles and decanters, featuring a wide variety of manufacturing techniques and styles. The group includes several pieces of high-clarity lead crystal with deep mitre, diamond, and prism cutting, alongside molded and pressed glass examples. Notable forms include large mushroom-style tops with radial fluting, faceted geometric finials, spherical and teardrop shapes, and a tall spiral-twist example. One stopper features an etched foliate motif. The collection also includes colored glass pieces in forest green, amber-tinted, and opaque black glass. Most examples feature ground glass shanks designed for an airtight fit. The styles represented include American Brilliant Period designs, mid-century modern forms, and various European imports. No maker marks were identified upon inspection.
