This etching and aquatint on paper by Sir Hugh Casson (British, 1910-1999) is titled Thin Cat. The work features a minimalist, stylized depiction of a reclining cat, utilizing fine etched lines for the outline and a grey tonal aquatint wash to define the cat’s body. The print is numbered 5/100 in pencil in the lower-left margin, titled Thin Cat in the center margin, and hand-signed and dated Hugh Casson 93 in the lower-right margin. A distinct plate mark is visible around the central image.
