Description
This mid-19th century drum table is constructed with highly figured mahogany veneers featuring a prominent fiddleback grain pattern. The circular top is finished with a radial sunburst veneer pattern consisting of multiple wedges meeting at a central circular dark wood inlay. The deep apron contains four drawers, each fitted with two turned wooden knobs and constructed with hand-cut dovetail joinery. The top is supported by a faceted octagonal pedestal column that rests on a triform concave platform base. The base terminates in three flattened bun feet.
