Description
This single flintlock musket is a British East India Company Brown Bess, configured for colonial military service. The firearm features a round smoothbore iron barrel secured to a full-length wooden stock, which is outfitted with brass furniture including the butt plate, trigger guard, side plate, three ramrod pipes, and a nose cap. The flintlock mechanism is present, with flint. Prominent markings on the lock plate. The barrel shows significant surface oxidation and heavy pitting, particularly concentrated toward the muzzle. A metal ramrod with a flared tip is included and stowed beneath the barrel. Note – As an antique or black powder firearm, this item does not require a background check.
