Lot 106:
Description
A Victorian-era bar brooch crafted from 9 karat yellow gold. The central motif features a crescent moon set with five white seed pearls and five light blue-green turquoise cabochons in an alternating pattern. The crescent partially encloses a small, centrally positioned gold-tone flower. The frame consists of two parallel bars embellished with twisted wire rope and bead-and-reel accents. On the reverse of one bar, there are several impressed marks: the characters H.G&CO, followed by the numeral 9, and the letter C. The brooch features a traditional long pin stem with a C-clasp hinge mechanism.
