Description
A pair of hand-colored aquatints on paper depicting traditional British fox hunting scenes. The first print, titled Breaking Cover, shows a group of huntsmen and hounds emerging from a wooded thicket. The second print, titled Full Cry, depicts the hunt in full pursuit across an open landscape with riders leaping a stream and a farmhouse in the distance. Both works are after original drawings by Henry Alken and were engraved by Thomas Sutherland. Each print features visible plate marks and includes identifying text in the lower margin.
