Description
A German glazed porcelain figurine designed by Raymond Peynet for the Rosenthal Studio-Line. The whimsical scene, part of The Lovers series, features a stylized man in a white suit with yellow stripes and a lavender hat kneeling upon a grassy mound. He offers a pink heart to a standing woman who looks down with closed eyes, wearing a white dress decorated with light blue polka dots and a blue bow. The base is embellished with stylized green foliage and a small snail. The underside of the base features a printed green factory mark consisting of a crown above a flower, with the word Rosenthal in script above GERMANY and the name Peynet. A gold circular adhesive label is also present, containing a stylized letter S and the words studio-line. Hand-painted in green script on the underside is the word Handgemalt followed by a monogram resembling Lf, and the model number 7010.
