Description
A hand-crafted stoneware pitcher by Sid Tustin featuring a bulbous body, a flared rim with a pinched pouring spout, and a simple strap handle. The exterior is finished in a dark, mottled brown glaze with a textured, slightly crystalline appearance. The decoration consists of hand-trailed slip in an ochre-orange hue, arranged in two horizontal bands around the shoulder and a single undulating wavy line encircling the midsection. The interior of the jug is finished with a similar dark brown glaze. The underside of the base shows an unglazed, dark brown clay body. Two marks are impressed into the clay on the underside rim.
