Description
A Georgian-style circular portrait miniature set within a polished yellow metal frame, designed as a memento mori or mourning locket. The obverse features a hand-painted portrait of a woman with dark curly hair and blue eyes, depicted in a white ruffled collar and brown gown. The reverse contains a hairwork compartment displaying a curled lock of light brown hair secured with fine gold wire and small seed pearls. This arrangement is set against a radially engine-turned opalescent background. The item includes a small suspension loop for wear. A blue inventory sticker marked 19 is present on the reverse glass.
