Description
A trio of mid-20th-century black and white portrait photographs depicting Worshipful Masters of St. Johns Lodge, No. 4779. The subjects include Wor. Bro. F. Greenwood (W.M. 1936-37), Wor. Bro. Arthur Wadsworth (W.M. 1942-43), and Wor. Bro. Ernest A. Totty (W.M. 1944-45). Each individual is portrayed in full Masonic regalia, featuring ornate aprons, gauntlets, and collarettes, and is posed with a gavel and a book upon a pedestal. The portraits are housed in gold-painted frames with decorative scrollwork corner accents. The upper frame edges are inscribed ST. JOHNS LODGE, 4779. while the lower edges identify the specific individual and their term of office. The photographs bear the studio mark of Walter Scott, Bradford.
