Description
A 19th century Bohemian cased glass chalice featuring a deep ruby red layer cut and etched to clear glass. The exterior depicts a continuous wheel-engraved and acid-etched forest landscape. The scene includes a detailed stag with prominent antlers and a doe within a dense woodland of pine and broadleaf trees. The glass features a bell-shaped bowl joined by a bulbous knop to a hexagonal faceted stem. The piece terminates in a wide, circular base with faceted and scalloped edges. No maker marks, signatures, or pontil marks are visible in the provided images.
