Description
An antique tabletop vacuum tube radio identified as an Emerson Model 107, circa 1935. The unit features a distinctive stepped-shoulder or waterfall wooden cabinet constructed with walnut veneers. The front panel is characterized by two symmetrical, geometric fretwork speaker grilles in a stylized X-pattern, backed by a textured, aged fabric. Below the grilles is a rectangular analog tuning dial with a yellowed amber-toned scale. The base of the front panel is equipped with four horizontally aligned turned-wood control knobs. The cabinet design is characteristic of the mid-1930s Art Deco influence on consumer electronics. While markings on the dial bezel are present, the identification is based on the specific architectural form and fretwork pattern consistent with the Emerson 107 model.
