Description
A collection of vintage toy farm animals, figures, and accessories, largely in the style of makers such as Britains Ltd. or John Hill and Co. (Johillco). The set is composed of various farm-themed elements including human figures such as a farmer with a walking stick, a worker with a wheelbarrow, a milkmaid, and laborers. The animal population features livestock in various poses and colors, including several cows, horses, pigs, sheep, goats, a dog, a fox, and a group of poultry consisting of chickens and chicks. Included accessories are a large yellow haystack, post-and-rail fencing sections, a green wheelbarrow with a red wheel, feeding troughs, a small green-roofed kennel or shed, a hay cart, and a foliage piece. The figures are constructed from painted hollow-cast lead and die-cast metal.
