Description
This barograph is a recording barometer featuring a brass-mounted mechanism on a polished brass baseplate. It contains a stack of eight silvered aneroid bellows connected to a long recording arm with a pen nib. The revolving drum is powered by an internal clockwork movement and carries a printed paper chart graduated for days of the week and barometric pressure in inches from 28 to 31. The assembly is enclosed in a mahogany case with a stepped base and five glass panels. A brass plaque on the baseplate is inscribed O. Comitti and Son LONDON.
