Description
A large floor jardiniere in the Louis XV style, featuring a serpentine front and curved side panels. The piece is constructed from carved wood with gesso ornamentation, finished in a distressed off-white paint with remnants of original gilding. The central decoration consists of a high-relief tied ribbon bow from which trailing rose swags and floral sprays extend across the face. The interior is finished in a reddish-brown color, and the reverse side consists of flat wood planks. The unit is supported by four integrated block feet.
