Description
This side chair is designed in the Renaissance Revival style, featuring a tall back with an inset upholstered panel. The wood frame is decorated with elaborate pierce-carved foliate and C-scroll motifs. The back is flanked by barley-twist stiles which are topped with turned finials. The front legs are cabriole in form, featuring floral carvings at the knees and ending in scrolled feet. The seat and back panel are upholstered in a figural and floral tapestry-style fabric depicting a pastoral or woodland scene in muted earthy tones.
